Innovation in the classroom is often stymied because educators don’t want to depart from doing the “right thing.” Dr. David Rendall says moving “outside the box” requires teachers to realize that the opposite of the “right thing” is not necessarily the “wrong thing.”
Rendall suggests that his oppositioning method will help educators find unconventional approaches that can help lessons stand out and produce breakthrough ideas. “You’ll go from conventional to unforgettable to unstoppable.”
Rendall is an author, international neurodiversity thought leader and previous Summit crowd favorite. He will deliver the closing session entitled Funny for a Change: Using Humor to Create Serious Transformation in Las Vegas.
The National Conference on Innovative Teaching Strategies is coming to Atlanta and Las Vegas in 2019. This event assembles internationally recognized innovators together with practicing educators and consultants who are currently finding success with promising fresh approaches and research-based methodologies.
