School Discipline Conference

Over the past 20 years, educators have seen a transformation in many facets of school life. Curriculum has changed dramatically, technology continues to be implemented and assessment has become far more rigorous. Yet, in many schools, discipline remains relatively the same as it was in 1995.

Wired Differently Conference

Now in its sixth year, the Wired Differently Conference will be held this year in Atlanta. A wide array of critical insights and best practices will be shared for reaching and teaching students with emotional and behavioral issues – including adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma, Asperger’s and other autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, early-onset bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder and more.

Boy Brains & Engagement Conference

Recent education research has focused much more on the learning, social outcomes and schooling experiences of boys. Boys are more likely to be held back, suspended or expelled — or to drop out of school altogether. This conference helps educators support the unique neurochemistry of the male brain and improve academic outcomes.

At-Risk & Struggling Students Conference

This conference focuses on evidence-based programs and strategies that educators can use to prevent dropouts and to help students experience success in school. More than 1.2 million students in the United States and Canada drop out of high school each year (with the percentages skewed toward males, low-income and minority students).
